I'm not really sure how best to proceed from here, any help would be greatly appreciated!! I've never encountered this issue while installing/uninstalling, and all other remote users can connect without issue. I feel 99% sure that this issue lies with Windows 7. However during uninstalling and reinstalling, the follow errors were given: As a last resort we installed an earlier version of the the Global VPN client, again without luck. Was on the phone today with sonicwall support, without any luck. Unfortunately, it's still hanging on "Acquiring IP address". I changed a setting in the VPN client to "LAN only" which got rid of the "Phonebook entry" window, and finally brought up the credentials window. After reinstalling,it would keep prompting for a "Phonebook entry" which normally only shows when there is no internet, or it is at least accompanied by the credentials window. He received it back the other day WITH internet working, however he has not been able to get the VPN to connect. He ultimately took it to see the "doctors" (where I don't know), who told him that they found over 100 registry issues. Since I have to remote into his device and need internet to do so, it was becoming a hassle to troubleshoot. The first thing I had him do was a reboot, and a good thing indeed since after the reboot he couldn't even connect to the internet at all (they use ethernet). By the time I was able to look personally the VPN client wouldn't even give an error. Last week when he tried to connect through our firewall via the Sonicwall Global VPN client, it gave the error that it was not "in the connection list". I have a remote user, who has been connecting to a terminal server on our network for the past several months without issue.
